About Me

Museums have always been a huge part of my life. When I was younger, I thought that my mother was simply dragging me to art museums as a cruel and unusual kind of tourtue. Now, I am so thankful that she took the time to take a whiney kid to so many different museums. I began working in museums in 2009 and couldn't be more in love with them. I have interned/worked at numerous museum, including the National Museum of Ireland, the Pamunkey Indian Museum, Colonial Williamsburg, and Dumbarton House. I am currently an anthropology PhD student and hold a museum certificate from the National Institute of American History and Democracy (NIAHD). I am specifically interested in the role of material culture in archaeology and anthropology. My goal is to start working full time in the museum field, but for now, I will focus on my blogging.

This blog will be a review of different exhibits/museums I visit, as well as a few things a bit closer to home (ie. my dissertation research).
